Island TEFL, in addition to its original, flagship home, on the idyllic, tropical island paradise of Koh Samui, Thailand, now offers 5 additional exotic locations to undertake your Certified TESOL/TEFL training, that will enable you to embark upon a career as a Travelling Teacher and “Make a Difference” in the World. They offer two separate packages, designed to suit the needs of future TESOL/TEFL teachers. Both options emphasise the practical aspect of EFL teaching, and will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to begin your new career.
If you don’t want the hassle of finding your own accommodation, we have negotiated excellent accommodation offerings on your behalf, at all locations. Prices start at 4,000 Baht per month (around 80 GBP). In Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Bangkok, accommodation is within easy walking distance to the respective Island TEFL training centres. In Phuket, Paris, Cannes, Laguna Beach and Bali, accommodation and classroom are situated under one roof. All materials are supplied, and we provide free visa assistance.
Package A is: the 4-Week Certified TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course. In just 4 weeks, you will graduate with an internationally recognised TEFL certificate, allowing you to travel and teach in many countries across the globe. Upon successful course completion, graduates can also pay a modest administrative fee to receive a 120 hour TESOL Certificate which is notarized and backed by the full accreditation of numerous, renowned, global institutions.
Package B is: the 4-Week Certified TEFL course plus a 1-month Volunteer Placement in a local Thai school, resort, hotel or other tourist business. This option not only improves your resume for future employment opportunities, but allows you to give something back to the local community and immerse yourself in the local Thai culture. For students that are native English speakers and hold a degree in any subject this package option also includes a guaranteed Teaching Job Placement. You also have the flexibility of being able to do your 4-Week training component at one Island TEFL location and complete your Volunteer placement at the same or different location.
Duration and Times:
Island TEFL's course is conducted over a 4-week period, Monday to Friday of each week. Classes begin at 9.00am and conclude at 3.00pm each day. Weekends are generally free to enjoy the many attractions your chosen location has to offer, or to just chill at the beach.
