Changing Worlds carefully selects a variety of placements to suit you. They offer paid and voluntary placements world wide - if you like the idea of travel, meeting people and don't mind working hard then this may interest you.Changing Worlds offers a wide range of work placements all around the world. Their placements last from three to six months and they have departure dates throughout the year.
Their placements include paid opportunities in Australia and New Zealand. These placements are in the hotel and hospitality industries in some of the most attractive and exciting places on the planet.
Other placements are voluntary...often helping people who are less fortunate than ourselves. They offer teaching placements in China, Ghana, Honduras, Southern India, Kenya and Thailand. Their options include orphanage placements in Ghana, Latvia, India, Kenya and Thailand. If you're keen to visit Australia or New Zealand they have voluntary placements at zoos, farms or on a tall ship.

Costs include:
The costs of the placements vary by type and destination. Prices start at £2285 and include the following:
- International return flights from London to a point of arrival in your chosen destination
- Meet and greet on arrival
- In country orientation on arrival with the rest of your team
- In most cases an organised work placement for three to six months
- In almost all cases includes accommodation and food
- In some cases includes simple Language training on arrival
- On going support from the in-country representative all the time you are in your chosen destination
- UK based interview day
- UK based Pre Departure Briefing with the rest of the team departing at the same time as you.
Requirements:Changing Worlds volunteers tend to range from the age of 17 yrs upwards but there are no formal age restrictions placed on volunteers except in the following countries. Australian authorities require volunteers to be between the ages of 18-25 in order to be granted a visa, while volunteers to New Zealand are required to be between the ages of 18-30.
Everyone who applies must supply a reference and complete an interview day with Changing Worlds in Surrey. If attendance is not possible then a phone interview can be arranged.
Volunteers must also provide the following once accepted onto the project:
- A full UK passport valid for 6 months after your planned return
- A Visa for entry and for the full extent of your stay
- Insurance (Changing Worlds recommend a specific policy)
- Independent travel costs and cost of journey to airport at end of your placement
- All UK travel costs (to the interview day, pre-departure course, and to the departure airport – usually a London airport)
