Most vacancies are in Buenos Aires, and volunteers have a choice of placements in the following fields:

 

Youth Outreach
Volunteers work on projects with underprivileged and at-risk youths in Buenos Aires.  Depending on the organisation and the volunteer this could be anything from social-work through to running art or photography workshops, from child care to coaching a sports team.

Community Development 
A volunteer in community might be teaching in a school or they might be helping to physically construct that school.  What is certain is that they will be building a better future for local communities. They will help in the struggle against rural poverty through education and grassroots development projects that will bring people together and bring them towards a better life.

Veterinary & Animal Care
Whether your passion is for the small-and-furry or the big-and-scaly, with Expanish volunteers you will have the chance to help the creatures with which we share this world.  Placements are available with veterinary foundation and, zoos, working on every level from animal care to large-scale conservation projects.

Teaching & Education
Education for many of those living in poverty is a precious gift that will be of value for the rest of their lives.  Help to give that gift with volunteer work in an educational position, either as a teacher, assistant or administrator.

The School
Expanish is not an internet agency, but rather a solid and lovely building in the heart of Buenos Aires housing their established Spanish school.  This is the nerve-centre for our volunteers.  Here they can meet new friends, sign up for activities, and get information about how best to explore the city, the country and the continent.  Volunteers are able to take advantage of the free WiFi, and of course of the comfy sofas, the tea, the coffee, and the cookies!  

 

Spanish classes with Expanish can be taken in preparation for a placement and, depending on the individual schedule, can usually be continued alongside the volunteer work. 

Qualifications:
· Age: 18, some specific placement available for minors
· Experience: None
· Spanish: Options for absolute beginners through to advanced speakers
· Insurance: International health insurance is a requirement
