IVHQ assists developing countries by providing volunteers to work in a variety of jobs such as:

Volunteers can choose to work on projects for various periods of time ranging anywhere from one day to six months. Their partner organizations in these countries will place you in institutions which align your interests and strengths with projects where there is a REAL NEED for help and assistance.
With program fees starting from USD$180, they offer affordable and high quality opportunities.
"The organization is great and the information booklet was phenomenal, very very helpful in my planning of what to bring. The orientation was good. I think the local staff did a good job providing all the general information on the country and saftey. A great moment was working with the children at the IDP camp in the school and giving women basket supplies as you could see the excitement from on their faces as they now had something to keep them busy and begin a business with. I had a spectacular time and want to thank you for the incredible experience. I definitely feel I got to make a difference and I truly experienced the country. Thank you"

"IVHQ were very very helpful in answering all my questions. They were also very quick in the rely to all my questions! Thank you. The local staff were an amazing team. The house we were living in was so much nicer than what I was expecting. The meals we were given were very nice and the house ladies were the most beautiful women ever. The local team took great care of us and they were truly concerned if we were ever sick, in trouble or just weren't feeling right. I loved the kids and I loved being in the classroom with them. My favourite moment was definitely Christmas Day! We spent the day at the baby orphanage. It was the most perfect way to spent such a wonderful day. The house was wonderful. It was so much nicer than anything I was expecting. We had running water and a normal toilet which was lovely. We didn't have power a lot of the time but that really didn't worry me. The food was excellent and all the staff were so nice. I think the fees were very fair. I had the best time of my life. This is definitely something I will let other people know about. This volunteering program was the best two months of my life. I have met awesome people and made great friends who will forever remain lifelong ones. The children and the local people I met were the most beautiful people ever. They are friendly, loving and welcoming! This experience has made me want to visit new places, and meet more new people, so you will definitely hear from me signing up for a new program very soon!"
