Action for Wildlife - Wild Animal Rehabilitation, Thessaloniki, Greece

Our team has 30 years of experience in wildlife conservation and rehabilitation. Overall we take care of more than 1500 animals per year.

Your role will be to take care of the animals in collaboration with our passionate volunteers and supervisors. You will come into contact with wild animals in our facilities and participate in rehabilitation programmes.

If you love nature, but don’t want to handle animals, you still have the opportunity to participate and help our team by creating promotional material and contributing your fresh ideas to develop our communication strategy.

Our facilities are located in the Axios delta in a peaceful and beautiful location, 9 km from the Thessaloniki city centre.

To participate, you have to be at least 18 years old and be vaccinated for tetanus.

The minimum length of stay for a volunteer is two weeks and there is no maximum limit.

We offer accommodation in our facilities and two meals per day.

We can also pick you up from Thessaloniki by car on demand. For the moment there is no other transport option.

The programme costs 100 euro for the first week and 80 euro per week after that; this includes membership for a year. We don’t cover visa costs, travel costs or insurance.

For the duration of the programme, you will have our support 24/7 for any issues or problems you may face.
