CEG offers volunteers the opportunity to engage themselves in crop and animal production. Volunteers may assist in the cultivation of such crops as cocoa, plantain, cassava, etc., and by so doing get a hands-on experience regarding the growth of local crops and farming activities. Depending on where they are placed, volunteers may decide to assist farmers with sustainable agronomic practices.
Volunteers in animal production partake in the raising of pigs, cattle, goat, and poultry. Fish (mainly tilapia) farming is also available. Volunteers with a background in veterinary practice may provide assistance in veterinary clinics or provide more training for local veterinarians. Such cooperation is a chance for volunteers to share their skills and knowledge for the improvement of agriculture in Ghana
