Bear Sanctuary Volunteer Project, Cambodia
Organisation: WorkingAbroad Projects
Country: Cambodia
Type: Environment & Wildlife Conservation
Website: Find out more

The Bear Sanctuary project in Cambodia was established to save bears from appalling conditions and the illegal wildlife trade. They rescue and rehabilitate the bears, which are mainly Sun bears and Moon bears (Asiatic black bear) that are facing numerous threats in Asia.
Get to work closely with rescued bears in an ethical way when volunteering at the bear sanctuary. Learn about how to take care of bears living in a rescue centre, while getting immersed in Cambodian culture working alongside locals.
The Bear Sanctuary volunteer project is part of a large Wildlife Rescue Centre, which is located about an hours drive (north) of the country capital, Phnom Penh.
