Enviromental Conservation in Kenya

Our environment project needs volunteers to help in efforts to rehabilitate, protect and save the only remaining ancient rainforest in Kenya. The forest faces major threats from human encroachment and destruction. Safeguarding the forest will conserve the ecosystem, water catchments, wildlife and attract rainfall, for multiple benefits to the environment, people and animals in the region.

Volunteers will be conducting environmental education, preparing tree nurseries, planting seedlings in forest reserves, distributing seedlings to villages, campaigning against forest destruction, maintaining botanical gardens and conducting public education.
