Volunteers live in a community house in the town of Huyro, in the La Convencion province. You will work alongside Peruvian archaeological experts exploring new areas for excavations, clearing sites and preserving ancient Inca and pre-Inca walls and terraces.
Volunteers are also actively involved in educating local people in the importance of our work through community-based workshops.
Outdoor archaeology work is often subject to weather conditions. This is balanced by working on community development projects, ensuring that all volunteers gain a wonderful insight into the fascinating Inca culture.
