Your Role As Intern At the Hospital: observing experienced local Doctors and Nurses and performing routine tasks in various departments at hospital, clinics. You will have the opportunity to learn about various tropical conditions and treatments. You will also take part in school and community outreach to do wound dressing and give talk on basic but important health education such tooth brushing, adolescent Reproductive Health education, assist in counselling etc I am only grateful also to inform you that the sustainability of this exciting programme depends on the project fee participants (interns/volunteers) pay. For example 8 weeks on the programme in Ghana cost US $1,400. The fee covers their accommodation, food (Breakfast, Snacks, Dinner). The amount also covers all utilities, insurance cover against personal accident, placement fees, airport pick ups and drop off. Some of the fee also funds our medical outreach, dirty days(community painting) and provides health insurance for 10 needy people (mostly women and children) etc. Payments are done on arrival in Ghana.
