P.A./ Admin and Volunteer co ordinator International Primate Rescue We are looking for an enthusiastic, determined and dedicated person to join us here at International Primate Rescue in the role of P.A./ Admin and Volunteer co-ordinator. This is a voluntary position for the minimum of 12 months. Your daily tasks would include:- Your admin duties are as follows: General correspondence and office duties Answering the sanctuary phone Answering e-mail Attend morning meetings when on duty Daily updating on social media Keep primate record updated Rescue operations – organise transport and permits Prepare the rota for all volunteers on a weekly basis, if necessary Primate caring when necessary Your PA duties are as follows: Answering emails on behalf of Managing Director Short-term volunteer recruitment/advertising Long-term volunteer recruitment Short-listing and interviewing of Long term volunteers Invoices and ordering stock Helping Managing Director with her paperwork Advertising and fund raising Your Short Term Volunteer Coordinator duties are as follows: Prepare for volunteer arrivals (arrange for the bed to be made, plus paperwork to be ready) Show around (on arrival of a new volunteer, to introduce him/her to the primates, explain procedures etc) Help the volunteer with paper work on arrival (Information Form, Code of Conduct) and file filled out forms Be available to answer volunteer queries etc Send out monthly Welcome and leaving packages Update volunteer details Carry out weekly short term volunteer meetings Keep all relevant paper work up-to-date From time to time, when the sanctuary is under pressure (new arrivals etc), you may be asked to do other duties if it does not interfere with the duties outlined above All long term volunteers are required to do morning feeds and evening bowl collection (on a rota basis) Ideally you would have experience in marketing as well as experience in working in an office environment. Although this role doesn’t include caring for the primates you would have plenty of time to get to know all of them, the admin office has a window into a capuchin enclosure so all day you will have capuchins visiting you.
