Since 1997 KWETU has been training young people in the sustainable use of the surrounding natural resources. This training includes fish farming, organic farming, beekeeping to protect mangrove forests, neem processing, drying of fruits and vegetables. Our centre is situated on a 2 acre plot Mtwapa Creek and has access to the Creek via a boardwalk through the mangrove forests. We would like to add an eco-tourism component to our centre, mainly to share the knowledge and surrounding beauty, but also to become more self sustainable. We need volunteers who have experience in marketing eco tourism sites to help us to develp this exciting product as well as market it internationally. We are happy to share our knowledge with you and take you out to one of the many extension services we provide for the local communities at the Kenya Coast.
