Payment Terms
To secure your volunteer placement in the Maldives, please complete and submit the online application form with your application payment of £195. If for some reason, your application is not accepted, we will reimburse this payment fully. However, for those who are accepted, you will be required to pay the final balance 2 months before arrival. Once we have confirmed your place, you will receive an information package on the programme, details on your specific project/position, information on the island, suggested items to bring, how to travel there etc.
Project Dates
Please note that some projects have limited availability during local public and religious holidays and other events, and during certain periods due to the weather. Please see the further information pages in the ‘Project Details’ tab for availability for each specific project.
The dates below are listed just as a guide. You can join this project for 2 weeks or longer all year round (the medical programme requires 4 wks minimum), starting any day of the week. The weekends in the Maldives are Friday and Saturday, making Sunday the first working day of the week. We would recommend that you book your flight to fly into Malé to arrive in the morning, so that you can catch a same day domestic flight to Naifaru and for your departure, that you book a flight to fly out in the evening. Friday are usually your day off where you are introduced to the island and where you will have an arrival briefing and most Saturdays, you will have an excursion to a nearby uninhabited island although the day can change.
