About Jane Goodall
Jane Goodall is a pioneering figure in primate conservation. Her research transformed perceptions of the relationship between humans and animals. This sanctuary is part of the Jane Goodall Institute, a global leader in the effort to conserve and preserve endangered chimpanzees.

Highlights
Being the first and only chimpanzee sanctuary in South Africa, this project aims to bring the world of chimpanzees closer to humanity through education and tourism.

Location
This ethical chimpanzee sanctuary is located within the 1000 hectare Umhloti Nature Reserve, in beautiful bush surroundings with free-roaming antelope, 15 km from the town of Nelspruit.

Free Time
During your free time you can visit the nearby Kruger National Park, Sudwala Caves, Lowveld National Botanical Gardens and travel the famous Panorama Route of South Africa.
