Volunteers assist with reserve management, ecological monitoring, camera trapping, wildlife surveys and habitat work, while living in an unfenced bush camp inside the reserve.
The reserve supports a wide range of wildlife, including giraffe, antelope, buffalo, brown hyena, jackal, serval, caracal and many smaller mammals, birds, reptiles and invertebrates.

Location
The reserve covers 4,760 hectares in South Africa’s malaria-free North West Province. Its habitats support exceptional biodiversity, with large mammals, predators, reptiles, birds, dung beetles and smaller nocturnal species all forming part of the reserve’s ecological monitoring work.
Free Time
During time off, volunteers may relax at camp or visit nearby attractions such as Pilanesberg National Park, Kgaswane Mountain Reserve, Rustenburg and Sun City. Off-site trips are arranged depending on group interest, availability and reserve logistics.
