Elephant & Bear Volunteer Project, India

My experiences volunteering were amazing! The work was hard but it was very rewarding. Everyone that worked for the rescue centre was really accommodating and supportive. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind getting a bit dirty!

I had an amazing experience at the rescue centre. The work that’s been done is truly amazing. The staff are super friendly and passionate. It’s crazy that most of the education officers came from engineering background but got into wildlife because of true passion. It’s amazing to hear about the growth of the animals when they were first rescued to who they are now.

All the Elephants and Bears have such amazing personality and it’s good to see they are well taken care of after everything they been through. I love how they are educating people about animal welfare to the locals and giving opportunities for locals to live a life without harming the animals. I stand for everything they are doing and I am fortunate to be part of it. I met some amazing volunteers with all different background with the same goal of making the animals life better. I would recommend to anyone who’s interested.

I have just returned home after spending 2 weeks volunteering there with the beautiful rescued elephants and Sloth bears. What an incredible and wonderful experience I had. It was so touching to spend time with these amazing animals and to learn about their backgrounds and the wonderful work the centre are doing in making their lives so much better. Equally important is the incredible work they are doing to help preserve the animals still living in the wild. While I was there, I was lucky enough to see a wonderful presentation by one of the founders of the project, what an amazing and inspirational human being. All the team there are so dedicated and loving towards the animals, which they so deserve after the lives they have had. As a volunteer, I was really looked after. Accommodation was really good and food delicious. All the staff were so kind, helpful and welcoming. Volunteering there was one of the biggest highlights of my life and I would so highly recommend it to anyone who would like an experience that is special beyond words. I will definitely be returning in the near future.

Everyone who is able should look into volunteering here. It was a remarkable and life changing event for me and I would not trade it for anything. The people in the organization are great and were tremendously helpful at giving me a first class experience and taking care of my needs while I was there. I would change nothing and I will probably go back and volunteer again. I loved it. First rate!
