Cambodia Volunteer in Cambodia

"The Bear Sanctuary project is doing the most amazing work and being able to volunteer at the centre in Cambodia was an absolute privilege. Their work is vital to continue to save SE Asia’s bears."

Nikki, UK

Cambodia is often noted for one thing on the tourist scene – the spectacular Angkor Wat.  And for good reason; the extensive and colossal stone temple dates back to an impressive ancient civilisation of the 13th century, giving visitors a truly splendid window to the past.  It’s easy to see why it’s the only country in the world to have a building on its flag.  Yet this world wonder is not the only thing that the country can boast.  In fact, its stretching plains and rice paddies, quintessential rural villages, wide lakes, lush forests and even, paradise beaches are just a few examples of the landscapes scattered from border to border.

Volunteers in Cambodia will not only experience magnificent old-world wonders and charming natural scenery; the local Khmer people are reason enough to fall in love with the country and it’s easy to feel both admiration for their unbreakable spirit and gratitude for the kindness they show to all the people they meet.  You’ll certainly leave feeling the desire to emulate their way of life.
